Impression - Organ Recital by Marco & Gerwin!

On Friday evening, 13 March 2026, we (once again) enjoyed two musicians who are always welcome guests in our concert hall: Gerwin van der Plaats and Marco den Toom.

Not only was their musical collaboration effortless, their spoken introductions complemented each other just as well. The full audience enjoyed music for two organs, organ solo pieces, and an impressive closing improvisation for duo organ.

It was also special to hear how beautifully both organs were balanced with each other: the Hauptwerk organ certainly held its own alongside the large digital instrument on the main stage. A highlight was the congregational singing following Mulder’s setting of Psalm 42, after which the fifth verse was sung wholeheartedly by the audience.

Afterwards, the audience made one thing clear: this calls for more! We hope, D.V., to welcome them back in March 2027 for a third concert.
